  • Reflect on adding your picture.
  • You may write the html or use an html editor.
  • Add tags to your source code:

  • excessive colours, backgrounds and images.
  • FrontPage themes

  • linking to the correct page, not a file on your C, W or A drive.

Due: Beginning of class, Wednesday 18 March.

Helpful Web design resources:

Suggestions based on past assignments:
  • Double check how your page prints and appears on different monitors, browsers, screen resolutions and operating platforms.
  • Double check your links and images on someone else's computer.
  • Include bookmarks/anchors on long pages.
  • Less text is often better than more text.
  • Personality is good but go easy.
  • Remember your target audience. This is a CV, not 'my favourite things'.
  • Think layouts other than align left and tons of vertical scrolling.

Positive feedback on past assignments:
  • Great use of meta-tags
  • Clean resumes with crisp copy
  • Good use of anchors/bookmarks
  • Used one - three simple fonts with a couple sensible styles
  • Used the latest design tools well, without going overboard
