Two teams will debate each topic, one team in the affirmative and the other team in the negative. The debate topics are:

1. Should spam be illegal?
2. Should online gambling be illegal?
3. Should free music and video downloads be stopped?
4. Is privacy, for all practical purposes, dead?

Except for the concluding speaker, each person has one minute to speak. The concluding speaker from each side has two minutes. Each person must speak.
You will learn your topic and then have 20 minutes to discuss the topic. You will then learn if you take the affirmative or negative, and have an additional 10 minutes to craft your arguments.

A coin toss decides the team (affirmative or negative) that opens the debate. Speakers then alternate between the affirmative and negative. The last two speakers from each team summarise their arguments and convincingly rebut the other team's arguments.
