Learning objectives:
Using examples,
  • Relate media characteristics to communities (Hypermedia Table 2 and Ch 10)
  • Contrast three types and functions of online communities (Table 10.1)
  • Compare two types of community tools (331-2)
  • Discuss four community features and their possible metrics (Table 10.6)
  • Illustrate the evolution of email customer engagement (Table 10.9)
  • Explain five differences between Web 1.0 and 2.0 (Web 2.0 reading)
Activities
  • No physical class, rather an online chat with each group. Your group sets the time and the agenda; you need not be at uni. Week 9 quiz includes week 8 objectives.
  • Explore four of this week's lecture sites or fun readings, 15-20 minutes per site.
